Ordinary Women Extraordinary Wisdom

Karen first met Eckhart Tolle in 1998 after reading his book The Power of Now. The day they met, Karen experienced a profound shift and realized her purpose in life. "The day we met, I sat with Eckhart in silence. In that moment, it was as if the entire universe revealed itself. Not as something outside of me, but as my own self. There was a dropping away of all boundaries, all sense of separateness, and an expansion into an indescribable joy and aliveness." It became clear that Karen’s destiny was, in Eckhart’s words, to “teach being”, to support others in awakening to this inner freedom.

With Eckhart’s guidance, she immersed herself in the essence of the teaching, attending all of his group teaching events, including the first retreat he offered to a small group of students. She also worked with him privately and volunteered as his assistant for a period of time. After this period of deepening in presence, Eckhart invited Karen to teach on his behalf. She has facilitated large group events in the United States and Canada and provided individual support through one-on-one private sessions.

Since that time she has inspired and guided many people. She has a very down-to-earth approach to embodying presence and has taken training in life coaching to support people in “taking presence into action”. Karen also has a gift for helping people to see the truth in the moment, thereby freeing themselves from confusion and returning home, to the ever-present peace within.
